Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps
I like the game and all. When you finish a level, can there be a place or option to go and see all the TFs? I would would like to see them all but having to go through the levels multiple times to just to see them all expecially the ones for the last stage of a level is kinda annoying.
Maybe after you beat a level you can go back and it will give you option to see each one? |

The .rar? You need WinRAR to do so.

Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps
I managed to open this using Winzip, so I should be fine for a while but I will use this one seeing as it looked like it was free. The game was challenging and fun, the only real problem I had with it is the milk it keeps pouring too fast and leaves very little room for a gap in the first jump. There's nothing wrong in the sewer one (unless it was one of the ones that was fixed) as it leaves ample time to go to the safe spots too. The penut one took a while to figure out, but it gets easier once you figure it out, I mean you were going for a trial and error gameplay anyway right? ^^
For fleshing out the sprites in the game overs, I think I know one person who is capable of doing that and his name is Unnoticeable person. He should be able to help you out there since he makes transformations using sprites. Here's his FA and DA page. I don't want to ask him to edit already-made sprites though, seems like a waste of talent. |

Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps
If anyone has good ideas for game traps and endings to go with them please send me an IM! I am having alot of trouble with the final level.
Don't send me *just* ending ideas though, as they are useless without a hazard to go with them. The final level's theme is: *Spoilers* The Imps home, where most foreground objects are pure black, like the Imps themselves, and the background is lava-ey. |

Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps
The problem with these games is that the transformations are set up as things to be avoided. We WANT transformation, dammit!

It was indeed to make finishing a level desirable so you could go back and see Transformations you avoided. The trill of avoiding changes, I feel, makes the result more ... impactful. That's just my opinion though. |

Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps
This game was awesome. I request that you do not make it easier. It takes 1 try, 2 at max to figure out how to beat a level. Just simply work with those glitches that make the character get stuck off-screen.

Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps
Just finished speaking with someone about doing graphics for me next game.
It's not something I can afford in the slightest, unless I were to charge for the game. That's not something I would do though. |
