First time I actually heard of this artist. Unless the artist him/herself mentioned why, you'll never know. The only other people that might actually know are other deviants/friends/people the person trusts. And usually those people will leave it up to the person who left.
If you regularly kept reading journals of said person maybe that would give a hint as to why.
And there's also the possibility of a hacker then deactivating the account who knows.
