Re: Mouretsu Pirates AP/AR

Ok being a long time standing member of the process, contributing to the community and as well as being a lurker from time to time when I'm unable to write. I do have to say, the pictures are getting a little excessive for my tastes. Its like Kitran said. Its like taking a picture and having 40 people caption the picture, then post thread after thread after thread of the same picture just with different words. It clogs up the forum, it makes it disorganized and most of all.. the process isn't even that great. It was awesome to see someone make a program with this much detail, allowing you to do a bunch of neat and cool things with it. There should have only been one thread though, that was used to post pictures in and to talk about the program.

Don't get me wrong though, I do enjoy new material being posted to the process. But these pictures come out of a eagerness to post something that you yourself have created. So instead of becoming better with art, taking the time to write a well detailed story, ect. Its as if you take the easy way out and use a point and click program to create something. Unfortunantly, 100 other people thought of the same thing and they've already done it, or will be doing it soon. Which is why it seems lazy, ignorant and to a point hated now.

You may have taken the time to make these and really are proud of what you have created. Its just that the other people who have made these, taking a lazy way out of just adding content, kind of ruined it for you. So no ones going to be able to actually see past there extreme dislike of these images and program now. Its like every overly exposed pop star single hit. Amazing at first, then its so over played and completely annoying that you begin to detest it with every fiber of your being and you suddenly want to catch every living person on fire who even likes the song anymore.

Re: Mouretsu Pirates AP/AR

I agree. Very few of those sequences have been good. I feel that it's a bit conceited to say this, but I think mine was one of the good ones. (Of course, I would not have uploaded it otherwise. I've done plenty of other things, but that's the only one I've ever shared.) I mostly did mine because I don't see enough realistic AR/AP around. Even then, mine isn't even a full storied sequence, just a character study showing the person at different ages, showing them mature physically and mentally. (I put bits of different girls I know into it, and I know that wording was bad just now) The problem is that everyone can use the program, but not everyone will put that kind of care and attention to detail into what they're doing. (I think I once heard a quote, "Make a tool that even an idiot can use, and idiots will use it." Not calling anyone an idiot; I just like the quote and think it's a similar idea.)

When the fuck did I say this?

I cannot stand K-On!, so when I see a program that uses K-On! knockoffs in it for (of all things) fetish material leading to "sequences", I get annoyed. The lack of nudity isn't the problem here.

That's fine but it's still something I look for. And by artistic merit I mean the skill of the artist which is clearly lacking here

I to don't like Kyon to much.
But after some modifications it doesn't look like it ^^
And this flash HAVE nudity but I just don't like nudity so I don't use it.

When I was creating that thread I didn't expect that it will develop so much.
Thank You all for your inside even if it was a harsh language critic.

Art, by its definition, is subjective. Am I impressed by this work? Not really, but i do appreciate and will direct my attention to anyone willing to try.

^^^ Hail to the king! The logic of recognizing simply boring and uninspired material prevails!
