Re: TylorMade(TF)Clips
This is what I don't understand. Why would they ever increase quality if people keep buying the low quality stuff?

It's a powerful thing, and it's absolutely necessary to produce anything. Although I understand the sentiment; I don't want to see a good production company backslide over some short-term gains, either.

Re: TylorMade(TF)Clips
I won't be buying the cat, it was a total let down from the preview, they didn't use any of the suggestions in the forum, cat eye lenses, upper lower fangs, small prosthetic, all these things prob under $200 to purchase. Less is more too no need to whole cats the musical style makeup prob better with like the halloween kind girls wear each year

Re: TylorMade(TF)Clips
What I recommended was not something that would break the bank. Slayer1 is correct, it would definitely be under $200 and the prosthetics can be maintained for multiple uses.
I paid for the cat video and felt rather insulted that I paid so much for something that bad. The make up was poorly executed, it looked like a clueless beginner did the face painting, and it was terribly unconvincing . They used a god awful, cheap looking tail (a black vinyl tail with a small tuft of fluff on the end) which can be found at Spirit Halloween stores. The cat eye contacts were used for the DOG video and NOTHING for the CAT video... ummm ok? They use curly hair clumps for a poor representation to make it look like fur spots on their bodies (the curly stuff would work it it was a sheep). It would be more fitting if they straightened the hair, cut it down, then used some spirit gum to cover more area to give the effect that fur is growing on her body, instead of what looks like rabbit tails or sheeps wool popping up in random spots on their bodies. Even on some of the other videos, everything looks rushed and poorly executed. Please take the time to do it right or just stop. I'd rather stand behind videos that look convincing, considering people are PAYING for it, rather than slapping on some bad make up and cheap/crappy thrown together props (tails, ears, fur, etc) on an actress and then tell her cry and blurt out animal noises. Considering the videos are priced between $15-$25, I personally will not buy another video, until they show they are willing to improve the quality and sell something which would show they took pride in the final product

Re: TylorMade(TF)Clips
TMC seems to be operating under the assumption that they need to make all the money spent on a video back from a single sale.

Re: TylorMade(TF)Clips
Well the Cat video was made before the Dog TF, so that's one of the reasons why it didn't hold up as well in the effects department. Also the actress didn't sell the transformation as well as CoCo and Mika did. But if these videos aren't what you're expecting, then stop buying them, because your expectations are far too high. What other fetish site do you know of that makes videos anywhere close to this? I've seen other sites like Tara Tainton post a transformation video with no process at all and cost $50.
On top of everything else this "under $200" make-up is probably what they're using to begin with. What people here are wanting is not a transformation using $200 make-up, you're wanting American Werewolf in London props that cost $2000~$3000. While I agree they do need to try more expensive props, you can't be unrealistic about what they have to spend on these clips. If you know of transformation clips that are very convincing, post links, post suggestions, hell post pictures to the clips that work so we at least have examples of what people here are wanting to see. |

Re: TylorMade(TF)Clips
All we asked for were props for 15$ - 35$ a piece. I think that is affordable. We also posted links on the TMC for these props. So I think people get a little bit impatient. Another problem is that Taylor always asks 2 or 3 days before they actually do the clip, that isn't far enough time to order the pieces.

Offcourse this depends entirely on whether TMC notices that good quality props can still be cheap and profitable enough and that they get that even if they only ask 3 days in advance.....they could actually order some stuff for the vid after that instead of using the 'not enough time' answer to avoid better-looking props. With the price of some of the props, for example latex animal-ears, it could be earned back well enough. A relatively low amount of sales per clip that uses those props would earn it back, and the rest of the sales would provide profit. Last edited by The_Nameless_One; 09-13-2012 at 02:49 PM. |

Re: TylorMade(TF)Clips
I remember seeing a video on YouTube where a girl created a muzzle out of cotton balls and liquid latex. It actually looked damn good once she was done and had it all painted up. I've tried to find it again but I haven't had any luck. Proof you don't even require prosthetics to create the desired effect

For example, from http://www.northfur.ca/shop/ I put together a quick list as though all supplies are needed Pre-Painted Cat Nose prosthetic with whiskers = $34.78 factor in lets say a Half oz bottle of prosthetic adhesive = $9.82 Latex to blend edges = $6.73 Quality 12 color Hydrocolor Makeup = $34.85 Latex Cat Ear Application = $17.17 Standard 1-2 week shipping = $11.60 Total = $114.95 QUALITY prosthetics and supplies for under $200 Now they have adhesive, latex for blending edges, and paint for future use. All they would need is the prosthetics for a different animal. They would be taking a giant step forward in quality, which I'm sure would motivate people to buy more This is not $1000-$2000 budget for quality makeup... before you attempt to argue about makeup, do some research on the topic and figure it for yourself.

They may be working with "the best they can afford," which is going to be "hit and miss" to put it in generous terms.
