Re: Lorekeep, Thank you
I really hope this is an elaborate hoax. It just seems so unusual to turn down offers of assistance (fuck anyone who says 'cash is the only kind that helps,' especially in today's economy) after being a bulwark of many communities that might not otherwise have such a voice or be able to realize that they are not lone weirdos in a world of freaks.
![]() Still, people get tired - especially during strenuous activity - and Lore is well within his rights to move on to fresh, verdant meadows. I just hope we all stay in touch through this difficult time.

Re: Lorekeep, Thank you
Seems odd that after deciding to "clean up" the forums a month or so ago, Lorekeep has now swerved in the opposite direction and wants to close them. His decision, of course, but that doesn't make it any less of a gut-punch to the community.
I would say, fork the site and forum database and let someone else host and administer it - but there may be concerns with data privacy; does Lorekeep have the right to distribute the contents of the database (posts by other people) to anyone else? I'm sure most people would be ok with it, though. The problem with creating a "New Process" forum will always be that it may not capture the same number of users, and without the old database it won't be nearly as useful as a resource for TF material for at least a few years. That's why I'm suggesting to Lorekeep, right now (though I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't reading threads like this) that he give serious consideration to transferring the database to someone else's care - passing the site on, rather than deleting it. I implore him to please, for just once, give up the attitude of "it's my site and nobody else can have it" - let it continue without you. Please?

Re: Lorekeep, Thank you
You know, I'm not someone that openly admits my fetish. Most people outside of the internet (and many of them inside the internet) would consider BE/inflation fetishes to be very strange. There's only a handful of people that know about it and most of them are my closest friends.
I've often thought of changing my name on here, because Laughingman was never supposed to be my "porn sites" nickname. I did it because the Laughingman in Ghost in the shell was someone that I thought was a cool antagonist, and that there "never really was one to begin with" in a sense. (not really spoilers for the show, trust me.) So I eventually thought of changing it to something else, but I stuck with it, because I was known as that across several sites. (Bambi's site, here, TMC, and a few others) While I keep my real life and my online fetish life separate for the most part, it was always nice to be able to come here amongst friends that shared my enthusiasm for these various yet related fetishes. I don't know if this is an elaborate April Fool's prank or if it's real, but I want to thank Lorekeep and everyone else that's here for providing me an outlet to talk about the things that I can't really talk about to "normal" people. I lurked here most of my time but lately I began to become more active, and I enjoy reading the jokes in comments and seeing what was posted. I enjoyed being here, whatever happens. I'll miss this place if it's gone, but it's nice that it was once here for us to gather together. If anyone wants to stay in contact, I'll try to find some way to contact people, but you can always find me at TMC's forum or on my Dailymotion account, which I think has two "n's" at the end. |

Re: Lorekeep, Thank you
Oh-k, also I thank Lore profusely for all he's done over the years. I also say :P at being too picky, locking it down, and micromanaging off and on. But, bottom line, I think we need an alternative. No other site caters to our process of change fetish like this one.
Where else can we meet? Should we create a new site?

Re: Lorekeep, Thank you
If its a matter of money, it seems like something that can go through Kickstarter.
If its a matter of fatigue of being a webhost, then pass the torch on to a willing and competent successor. Letting the site be destroyed is such a waste. I can't comprehend a situation where the ideal solution is shutting down. |

Re: Lorekeep, Thank you
It was a great run, but good things always come to an end. Im sure its no easy task running this forum and doing all the other side projects aswell. Like others i want to say thank you for all your hard work over the years and making sure that all of us had a specific place to go for our odd fetishes.
Thanks for the great forum/comunity Lorekeep, you will be greatly missed!

Another one bites the dust...maybe?
This truly is the last of the transformation community milestones. We'll all truly have to flock to FA and small groups now to share our interests. But here's to hoping for a new and fresh community in the future?

Re: Lorekeep, Thank you
Huh. I'm really surprised by this, especially after so much work going into cleaning up the forum. Perhaps it was just the beginning to a drawdown?
I'll miss this place. It's one of the few places where this kind of stuff is not just tolerated, but embraced. There'll be nothing else like it again, and I contributed a few stories for the forums. Perhaps I should contribute one more before closure if I can. |
