You made a valid analogy, and it's important for everyone to understand that you are trying to help the community create something together they can be proud of. Your post format does make some people not want to read what you have to say, but if that's gonna stop them then they clearly aren't part of your target audience with this thread.

Anyways, I hope your project is successful. Compiling a resource archive is one part, but distribution is a horse of a different color indeed.
