I edited out everything except the two things I want to address. I don't think the TG on writing.com is TG in the sense that we all like. We look for content because of fetish or some other strong emotional attachment.

The vibe I get from writing.com is the "lol i made a guy a girl" sort of mentality. They aren't appealing to the TG community, they're appealing to what they think is funny. It has nothing to do with TG, and everything to do with what that current writer views as the lulz. If a site like fictionmania were to have a similar set-up I guarantee the quality would be much higher, but even then a poor writer will come in and mess something up.
