Smile Is there a connection between a TF fetish and wanting new experiences?

A neophile or neophiliac can be defined as a personality type characterized by a strong affinity for novelty. I can't help but think that having a tf fetish and neophilia are related. For me I feel that much of the enjoyment comes from animal tfs, but more specifically from the idea of becoming something new, having new experiences, new sensations, forced or otherwise. I am an avid follower of new technology, futurism and things like transhumanism. novel/new ideas really gets my juices flowing.

I can't help but think that my tf fetish almost perfectly fits into the whole experience-seeking mindset. What do you think about this? and do you have similar feelings?

Re: Is there a connection between a TF fetish and wanting new experiences?

Ehh, I'm not sure. I wouldn't say I like novelty more than the next person. When it comes to my TF interest, there are plenty of TFs that I find too strange to enjoy. And even outside the TF context, the list on Wikipedia doesn't really describe me well:

The ability to adapt rapidly to extreme change

Depends on what's meant by "adapting rapidly". I can adjust to change fairly quickly, though I usually do this by clinging to something familiar.

A distaste or downright loathing of tradition, repetition, and routine

Definitely not me. I have my fair share of traditions and routines that I follow. I can't remember the last time I've gone to bed without making myself a cup of tea first, for example. Even if it means walking to the convenience store in the rain a 10:00 p.m. to buy tea, milk, or sugar if I discover that I'm out

A tendency to become bored quickly with old things

I can play Diablo 3 for hours. 'Nuff said.

A desire, bordering on obsession in some cases, to experience novelty

From my tea example, I'd say I'm more like the opposite.

A corresponding and related desire to create novelty by creating or achieving something and/or by stirring social or other forms of unrest.

Nope. Nothing against creating novelty, but I can't really say I have a desire to do that for novelty's sake.

Re: Is there a connection between a TF fetish and wanting new experiences?

i can safely say that i've been stepping out of my comfort zone pretty far and pretty fast and having new experiences over the past month or 2 and i'm still quite the TF fetishist.

interesting topic though, TBH

I think it depends on the person, over the years I've come to think that you will find no two people into TF for the same reasons.

Personally I'm into TF because I like TF, and while my interests may wander or evolve in that sub-category, I don't stray outside very often.

Re: Is there a connection between a TF fetish and wanting new experiences?

It seems to me that most people who are into TF could sort of tell that they were into it in some way growing up as a kid. I rarely run across people who manifested the fetish at a later age. Of course, that's just speculation! I could be entirely wrong. Sexuality is an incredibly difficult thing to pin down.
