Possible Female TVs in new Ben 10 season.

The newest season of Ben 10 Omniverse dropped and had a interesting season opener. Unless you want to avoid episode 1 spoilers I will explain how this relates further down.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Spoiler Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

The episode sent us to a universe were there isn't an Omnitrix and Ben is just a ordinary kid. Kevin Levin doesn't know the Tenyesons, he appears beifly but just bumps into Ben and barely acknowledges it and Gwen Tenyeson never learned magic or the confidence to achieve in school. After lamenting how dull life is and he feels he was meant for more Ben meets several Evil Bens, One who is normal Ben but Amoral, Albedo his evil doppelganger, One who is Insane,a Emo personality Ben, and Max Maxesque Australian Ben and Eon the evil time/dimension hopping Ben. Along with Vilgax they plan to imprison all good Bens and build and army of the evil ones. To Ben's defense comes a team of heroic Bens. Standard Ben, Ben 23, a Ben 10,000 than can change at will and Mix aliens and Gwen 10. A few betrayals later all Bens save the powerless one are wiped out by Vilgax. Normal Ben having managed to give Powerless Ben the Omnitix at the last moment. Thus the season arch, which seems to be "Ben must travel though space and time to restore the alternate realities Vilgax destroyed".

How is this on topic? Simple, if Ben is going to restore "Team Teneyson" it means going to Gwen 10's Universe and possible others where people other then Ben got the Omnitrix.

If you think it's stupid it doesn't matter if it has TF content does it? You don't like it, you don't watch it.

Yeah, you are technically right. Personally, I don't have any problem on watching cartoons supposedly oriented to kids... but I don't believe that someone would decide to make shows like the good old "Gargoyles" (to say the best example). What I wanted to say is that some shows are veeery kid oriented, thus the TFs there tend to be... well, as they have to be for kids, and not for TF fetishists, right?

Yeah it's not really aimed at TF fetish, but personally I like Ben 10 on it's own merits as a Super Hero show, but get it's no everyone's cup of tea. It reminds me of comics books that don't take them selves too serious and I enjoy the "snark" response to global annihilation and super villains shown in it, like other shows by Man of Action, Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Hellboy. A enjoy a well done more seriously toned show as well, for differing reasons, Gargoyles was one of my favorite shows and with the exception of Episode one I felt Goliath chronicles wrecked it.

I really liked Ben 10: Alien Force and Ultimate Alien mainly for the rapport between the kids. That TF content figured in occasionally was a nice benefit. I tried watching a bit of each episode of "Omniverse" and found that they futzed with the formula too much to derive any enjoyment. (It's the Goliath Chronicles to AF/UA's Gargoyles, that's for damn sure.) I just hope that, if the content is any good, someone with a stronger stomach than I will report on it.

Re: Possible Female TVs in new Ben 10 season.

Well looks like it was pretty much busted, we only gets a few of Gwen's Alien forms, XLR8, Diamond Head and WildVine. We don't learn much about the alternate Ben's at all, resetting the timeline and beating the bad guys is finished by episode 2's end.

What seems to be a actual arch plot is the revelation that Kevin Levin is NOT an Alien, Osmosians are in fact mutant humans and a villain with memory manipulative powers has been screwing with Kevin and everyone else. Kevin's dad was a dead beat and not a Plumber, and the "Plumber Kids" introduced in Alien force where themselves part of experiments using Kevin to give humans Alien powers. So yea a few of the transformed are female.

Though most disappointing I think is how CN is handling this season. Quietly premiering new episodes in a weekday morning slot and showing every single season 3 episode as soon as possible before taking the series off the schedule in November this year with no plans to bring it back for reruns or another season. I guess they need to make room for more Teen Titans Go, Uncle Grandpa and Regular Show reruns, to be certain their target demo sees those shows at least 25 times a week.

I think its time honestly, with Dwayne McDuffie gone there hasn't been any real creative talent with Ben 10, and Omniverse is proof of it. Not to mention the art style went to shit because they wanted to be cheap. Just let it die

I still find the manner of "5 week speed run" to just all the episodes out before the end of November to be... well disrespectful to a franchise the network has had running for 9 years! It's kind of like how Comedy Central treated Mystery Science Theater, the show sustained them when they started out as the Comedy Channel but they don't acknowledge it even aired because it went to another network eventually. No matter how you feel about the direction the series took it's not right to let it die with out any effort at minimal promotion at all.

Cartoon Network seems to have moved toward the idea relying on 11 minute programs that they play 10 times a day every day, and have the entire series up for free online, just to try to squeeze as many memes out of them as possible. I also like some of their 11 minute shows too and would like to see more new episodes rather then the same few over and over.

Nickelodeon and Disney XD also tick me off with their strategy of "Extend a season over the whole year", where new episodes seem to come out bi-monthly despite the show being aired 3 times a week.

Sadly I understand the logic behind these strategies, to boost ratings by making sure a series is seen by making it a more "on demand" experience. But as with shows created for streaming that are meant to be binge watched their are many downsides to productions with this attitude.
