Re: Whatever happened to mWE's stories
Does anyone happen to have his stories in Doc format? If so I've been wanting to read them for a long time.

I still have the "Lizards" one floating around my hard drive somewhere, in my opinion is his best work

:O
I do not normally ask for things like this, but if you saw fit to reupload your three sisters series, I for one would greatly appreciate it. I was very sad when they vanished, I really wanted to see where you were going to go with them. |

Re: Whatever happened to mWE's stories
No, I'll not post them online again.
![]() I don't mind shooting them to you in an email or something, so long as you agree not to distribute them. But, I'm busy this week due to the holiday, so my responce time might be a bit slow. I don't have much time to play online as I usually do. |

Re: Whatever happened to mWE's stories
I know you probably said it before, but I'm currious... Can you tell me why you removed your stories? They were really great... And they still are (I saved them long time ago! Lol!)

After getting very little response, if any, for several years, I got angry. I'd put a lot of work into creating those stories and got nothing back for my efforts. To put it in Thanksgiving Day terms, it would be like inviting your family over for a big meal, but then having no one show up to eat all the food you've prepared. After I'd removed my old stories, I ran Doc's Lab for a while, archiving other's stories. I was sorely disappointed when even the authors there didn't get any feedback, even when their works were very well-written. Now-a-days, I just find the stories embarrassing. I'm nearly 40 and I wrote those in my mid-20's. To me, it's like finding something you wrote in grade school, with all the crappy handwriting and atrocious spelling or grammatical mistakes. Not to mention that I'd rather not have such material linked to my real life. It annoys me whenever I find someone asking for them. I'd rather they just be buried and forgotten. So, yea. I don't envy those artists or authors who create anything online. Whether it's crap or gold, they probably won't get any response or respect. |

Re: Whatever happened to mWE's stories
I hear you on that point about works made yeaaaarrrssss ago. I look back at my early works that I took down and locked away, and they are awful.
As for the rest of it about not receiving feedback and recognition, I think that's a pretty big problem with literature and writing in general. I'd imagine a massive proportion of the people that are into TF are lurkers who like abbreviated and easy to digest content. I know I used to just skip entire stories just to read the TF scene. It wasn't really until Mr Nibz's Jacqueline's Choice story that I started to appreciate stories in their entirety. Even though I make a bit of an effort to contribute material every now and then, I still don't really give feedback to others about their work, likewise, I've never really expected feedback from others either. I make photomanips, cut TF scenes from tv programs etc for myself, it's just a bonus if other people can enjoy it too. For me, once it becomes about making content for others, it becomes a job (which is why I don't take requests) |
