What is the allure of growth/transformation?

I'm not really into transformation, I just use this place as a stop gap gts community.
Maybe its something about the emergance into power (or possibly the reverse for some transformations)? Like breaking free of the bonds society places on you (metaphyschically or literaly) and turning into something you associte with freedom, or power, or poessing (and therefore gaining) admirable attributes (like wolves being associted with freedom and standing alone or cats being carefree and independent), or maybe wishing those attributes on a partner, or living your emotions through them or something.
And I suppose the trasnformation process gives the feeling these things are happening RIGHT NOW, and theirs something dynamic about it.
Plus I think seeing a girl in a vulerable postion draws out our protective instincts and makes us feel less threatened.
What do you guys think?
