For those who may not know, Roosterteeth (The guys behind Red Vs. Blue) are making a new action anime. They have been releasing trailers for it periodically and yesterday released the final one before the premier this month.

The series is called RWBY and most of the other elements about it are not known. The animation is very stylized and fast paced. The voice acting leaves a bit to be desired though...

I am really hoping that it is amazing, and if we are really lucky we may even have some Process! (Note the Werewolf like creatures in the Red Trailer and the prominence of the moon in all the imagery.)

I absolutely love Monty Oum's work! Dead Fantasy, Red vs. Blue, RWBY, anything he makes looks great!!

I am shocked that this is hte first thread for this. I dont think we'll see any process, but there's hoping.

So far we have Ruby with the Crescent Rose, a Combination Rilfe Scythe. Weiss Schnee with the Mrytenaster, a Multi-Action Dust Rapier using spells as ammo. Blake Belladonna with her Gambol Shroud, a Variant Ballistic Chain Scythe. And now we have Yang Xiao Long with the as yet unnamed Shotgun Gauntlets.

Other characters introduced inclue Adam using his Rilejato, basically a blade sheathed inside a shotgun. Melanie, using bladed boots, and Miltia (pronounced Mil-sha), using long wrist-mounted claws. JR, using a Rocket-launcher Club.

The voice acting is a bit weak in parts of hte Black and Yellow trailers, but I'm willing to credit that to poor sound mixing in the rush to get Black out in time (it is hte least polished of all trailers), adn on the focus of Yellow's trailer being incredible detail and timing to music (likely in response to Black trailer's complaints. The biggest issue people seem ot have is Ruby's line at the end of Yellow, which I blame on the fact that it was her first line, adn they're still pulling hte show together and getting everyone used to their characters. Remember how RvB started ;p

Now I have to go watch hte fight from the Yellow trailer again ^______^ I LOVE the remixes, timing to the music, super stylistic presentation of hte fight, and Yang's theme (snuck in there at the end of the trailer during her fight with JR). also the music from the first 3 trailers (Red Like Roses, Mirror Mirror, and From Shadows) is available on itunes and the google play store for $0.99 each. I'm hoping to see the Yellow remixes and Yang's theme up there soon ^_^

I have no idea what any of this stuff is about, but I liked what I saw with the Yellow girl using the shotgun gauntlets as momentum to add power to her attacks. Neat idea and I'm glad at least she doesn't wear a cowboy hat and have a thick Suthurn Accent (just from her looks I swear she looks Texan!). I like the style though, I just have no idea what any of these things are. It looks like a video game like Bayonetta but they're saying it's a TV Show? I'm so far behind! Argh.

I thoguht of Bayonetta too when I saw the Twins with the claws nad boots combos.

Ruby used her scythe shots ot propel her in battle too, making her twist, bounce, and boost, as well as usign hte recoil on the Crescent Rose to get a clean cut through the Beowolves.

Weiss' Myrtenaster propels her via spells that allow her to air jump, brace, and boost, among other things.

Yang uses her gauntles to ad power to her punches, and boost into attacks.

Blake is the only one to have unnatural speed without her weapon boosting her. She can leave after images and move with a catlike agility.

And yeah, This is going ot be a show with episodes and actual plot, along side hte amazing fight choreography of the legendary Monty Oum. The first episode is coming out for RTX in the first week of July. So only one month before the show debuts. I'm not sure if it'll be weekly like RvB was, but it's a good bet that with it being an official RT production it'll come out weekly between July and the next RvB season.

First and foremost, the voice acting is LEAGUES above the trailers. Secondly. They got Jen Taylor in there now. That's right. Cortana's Voice Actress.
