I have to agree with Keichan here, I actually liked the catgirls much more than anything in the mountain area, there were a few things about this that I noticed... the catgirls actually had purpose - they were invading the village, part of the storyline, where as the ones in the passage just felt like, "oh, hey, we've got an army of monstergirls just waiting here to trap anybody that comes by, not that there is anybody, seeing this is an almost deserted island <.<", the harpy girls don't even acknowledge that Jessica is even there, sure it would ruin the whole one-hit preggie end moving-maze-of-death mechanic, but no puff puff? No interaction? No CP based "fights"? No moving of soft, downy harpygirl wings along smooth captured flesh? <.<...
Likewise, the catgirls seemed a bit playful with what they were doing with the kisses and the teasing interactions, but the Lamias almost feel stale in comparison... like all they've got going for them is the tailwrapping and that really annoying (gameplay wise, when you're trying not to get the end to get past) fascination spell...
And of course, the process of being TFed and "made over" instead of bite-blackout, telling the character the game is over with Jessica now a lamia... it's the kind of thing you expect to hear from someone who's given up, like a storyteller suddenly sticking "and they all lived happily ever after, the end." in randomly so they could finish up sooner.

It feels like with a bit more polish, the area could be done very well though...

I in no way mean to insult or cause offense, just trying to give feedback, it's been very fun so far! ^^;

Edit: also, the black screens with the lamia usually happen when there are two of them attacking at once, they both give the ending bite one after the other, causing two endings to be played out at the same time, causing glitches, I think...
