Lorekeep, Thank you

Seems odd that after deciding to "clean up" the forums a month or so ago, Lorekeep has now swerved in the opposite direction and wants to close them. His decision, of course, but that doesn't make it any less of a gut-punch to the community.

I would say, fork the site and forum database and let someone else host and administer it - but there may be concerns with data privacy; does Lorekeep have the right to distribute the contents of the database (posts by other people) to anyone else? I'm sure most people would be ok with it, though.

The problem with creating a "New Process" forum will always be that it may not capture the same number of users, and without the old database it won't be nearly as useful as a resource for TF material for at least a few years. That's why I'm suggesting to Lorekeep, right now (though I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't reading threads like this) that he give serious consideration to transferring the database to someone else's care - passing the site on, rather than deleting it. I implore him to please, for just once, give up the attitude of "it's my site and nobody else can have it" - let it continue without you. Please?
